Who am I? Photo of me
My name is Sandy. I live in Adrian,a medium-sized town in lower Michigan. My husband, Lyle, and I celebrated our 41st anniversary this last Halloween. We have three children and one beautiful grandson with another grandson due in Dec.2005.
Our oldest daughter, Hanni, is a math teacher at Michigan State University (GO GREEN!) and Lansing Community College. She also graduated from MSU with both her B.S. and M.S. Hanni has been married for 6 years to Steve. They have 8 cats, Pierce, Fang, Rhino, Thistle, Venus, Krueger, Cricket and Sticky.
Our next daughter, Kiri, is plant comptroller at Plastech in Napoleon, OH. She graduated from GMI, which has since been renamed Kettering University. She received her MBA at Walsh College, graduating with a 3.975 gpa . She has been married for 5 years to Jeff. In Sept. 2003, they presented me with my first grandchild, a boy Kaleb, just in time for my 60th birthday. They are expecting their second child in Dec. They also have a Himalayan cat named Jasmine and a Golden Retriever named Max, who thinks he's a lapdog.
My son, Michael, received his Associate of Arts degree from  Monroe County Community College, graduating Cum Laude. He has also attended classes at Wayne State University. He majors in art. Take a look at some of his work. Currently he is working for GameStop.
We also have three feline friends who have agreed to live with us. Columbus is about 10 years old. We also call him Dummy, which he answers to. He is an orange/gold long-hair. Oreo is a black and white cat that I inherited from my brother. Then there is my baby, Minx. She is a beautiful orange/black/white tortoiseshell. She likes to chase her 'toy' (a crumpled pipe cleaner) and bring it back to me. This last year we lost our beautiful black 8 year old cat, Devil, to cancer.
My husband, Lyle, is retired after working 41 years at Powertrain in Toledo, OH.
I have retired from working part-time at the Croswell Opera House, a small local stage theatre. I worked as a bookkeeper there. Before that, I worked for 15 years as the Network Administrator of a local bank. When they merged with a larger bank, I took an early retirement. Now I am enjoying just indulging myself with my crochet and my computer. I've recently become involved with machine knitting. My daughter bought me an Ultimate Sweater Machine and I'm having a ball with it.

Another of my passions is gambling. I go to bingo a couple of times a week. My husband says that he better not die on a bingo night or I won't come to the funeral. I also love to play blackjack. Unfortunately there aren't any really close casinos. The closest are in Detroit, about an hour and a half away. But I prefer the casino in Mt. Pleasant which is 2 1/2 hours away. I really like the ones up north best, but can only get to them about once or twice a year.

I also like to read and bowl.
